The Wenatchee Shopko store will close its doors for good May 12, the Wisconsin-based retailer announced.
Wenatchee’s store was not on a list of closures announced on Jan. 16 when the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
But a new list Thursday includes the Wenatchee store and a smaller Skopko in Quincy, which will close May 5.
Overall, the company is closing 251 of its 360 stores nationwide including other Washington stores in Yakima, Lacey, Pullman and Spokane.
Shopko has struggled in recent years alongside national brands such as Sears and Toys R Us.
