Search suspended for missing Moses Lake hiker

Rachel Lakoduk: Missing since Oct. 18.

MARBLEMOUNT —Three weeks of searching for a missing Moses Lake hiker in the North Cascades has yielded no results.

Skagit County rescue agencies suspended their search last week for Rachel Lakoduk, a 28-year-old woman who hiked alone Oct. 17 toward a lookout cabin on the Hidden Lakes Trail in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

Bad weather moved in as she made her ascent toward the 6,800- foot lookout, and the hiker hasn’t been seen since.

Rescuers suspended their ground search as of Wednesday, but said they’ll continue to scan from the air as weather allows.
