State officials are asking hunters and others to keep an eye out for a missing plane in northwest Washington.
The Cessna 182 Skyline disappeared Monday shortly after Terry Coleman took off from the Colville airport.
He was expected to be taking a one-hour flight before returning to the airport.
When he didn’t return, his wife reported him missing that afternoon.
The search today was focused on the Sullivan Lake, Ione and Colville areas.
In addition to two Civil Air patrol planes flying over the search area, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter is aiding in the search.
In addition, ground crews have been searching for the plane, though those efforts have been difficult because of weather and rugged terrain.
Radar recorded a plane in the Sullivan Lake area shortly after his takeoff but it is uncertain if it was Coleman’s Cessna.
He has an emergency locator on the plane but no signals have been detected.
