Seahawks Use Defense and Rush to Down Cowboys

Seattle Beats Dallas 24-13 with Defense

SEATTLE, WA – The Seahawks used two of their staples from the past, a strong defense and good running game, to defeat the Dallas Cowboys Sunday at CenturyLink Field 24-13…
Earl Thomas had two interceptions. Justin Coleman recovered a force fumble by Bradley McDougal. And Jarran Reed had two of the Seahawk’s five sacks of Dak Prescott.
Offensively, Seattle finally got its running game going as Chris Carson became the first Seahawk to rush for over 100-yards in a game since Thomas Rawls in the 2016 season. Carson had 32-carries for 102-yards and a touchdown.

Russell Wilson had a so-so day, completing 16-of-26 passes for 192-yards and two touchdowns, to Tyler Lockett and Jaron Brown.

Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll said THIS is what they’ve been trying to achieve…it just took three weeks to get there…

Seattle takes its 1-and-3 record on the road next week to play the 0-and-3 Arizona Cardinals.
