Martín Maldonado’s 3-run home run highlighted a 4-run 6th inning as Houston beat San Francisco 5-to-1. Zach Greinke worked 6-and-a-third innings of 1-run ball to earn his first victory of the season.

Oakland’s lead in the West is still 4-games over Texas. Seattle now trails by 6-and-a-half games heading into its series with third-place Houston.

The night is sponsored by Johnson Electric and will feature five classes of racing. Track manager Jeremy Anders is calling it a Hobby Stock Challenge for all Thunder Car drivers. In addition to the Northwest Focus Midgets, Holaday’s Custom Muffler B-Mods and Plumb Perfect Roadrunners, the night will include the Northwest Pro4 Trucks.

According to the website, the Northwest Pro4 Trucks series is using this night for the Bill Sauls Memorial 48 Race. Bill Sauls is a racing legend out of Spanaway who started the whole truck racing series in the northwest. They say there is no higher honor in their season than winning this race.

Tomorrow is our final rebroadcast of last summer’s AppleSox games on NCWLIFE with Wenatchee hosting the Yakima Valley Pippins. It gets underway tomorrow night at 6:30.

Then on Saturday, we’ll feature a Great Game of our Past at 2 o’clock with Eastmont and Wenatchee volleyball from October of 2016. That’s followed by a rebroadcast of last Saturday’s racing at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval at 6 o’clock.
