Seattle Give Up Six Sacks in Chicago Loss

CHICAGO, IL – Russell Wilson was sacked six times and turned the ball over twice as the Seahawks fell to the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football 24-17 last night…
In two games, Seattle has allowed 12-sacks, MOST in the NFL. Chicago led 10-3 at halftime and despite being out-gained throughout the game, the Seahawks still had a chance in the fourth quarter. But trailing by a touchdown with just over 8-minutes to play, Wilson was intercepted by Prince Amukamura, who returned it 49-yards for a game-clinching touchdown.

Seattle Coach Pete Carroll says his team has got to play better in the first half…

Wilson was sacked five times in the first half and finished 22-of-36 for 226 yards and two, fourth quarter touchdowns. He also threw the pick-six and fumbled in the final frame. Despite the loss, Wilson continues to be positive…

The Seahawks host Dallas in their home opener this Sunday at CenturyLink Field with kickoff set for 1:25pm.

Vogelbach Hits Grand Slam to Power M’s Past Astros

The Mariners got an 8th inning grand slam home run from Daniel Vogelbach and held Houston to just three hits in a 4-1 win at Minute Maid Park…
Trailing 1-nothing in the 8th, Vogelbach steps up as a pinch hitter for Guillermo Heredia with the bases loaded and two outs. He then hit a 1-1 pitch over the right center field wall and gave Seattle the win and kept their slim hopes of the post-season alive.

Seattle and Houston play again today at 5:10 with Mike Leake facing Josh James.
