Pete Carroll gets Christmas gift of a new contract

SEATTLE, WA – Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll signed an extension to his contract Monday that would keep him in Seattle through the 2021 season.  Earlier this season, Carroll became the winningest coach in franchise history and if he stays throughout the remainder of his new contract, he would be the longest tenured coach in team history as well.

Mike Holmgren coaches in Seattle for 10-seasons.  Carroll has amassed a 97-59-1 record and the Seahawks’ only Super Bowl Championship.  Many across the league say Carroll has had his most-successful coaching season this year with all the turnover in personnel as well as coaches in Seattle.
