The reward for information on haystack arsons in Grant County has grown to $15,000.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office offered a $5,000 reward Tuesday for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for 12 haystack arsons this year.
On Wednesday, the Arson Alarm Foundation added another $10,000 reward. To be eligible for that reward, people need to call 1-800-55-ARSON.
For the Grant County reward, information should be submitted to email@example.com. If someone witnesses an arson in progress or suspicious activity around haystacks they should immediately call 911.
The haystack arsons have caused losses in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The Sheriff’s Office also released a list of locations for the arson-caused haystack fires. They are in the Quincy, Ephrata and Royal City areas.
