WENATCHEE- Repair work this weekend will force the closure of southbound traffic on the Wenatchee River Bridge, which could cause some traffic delays.
Southbound traffic into Wenatchee will be redirected onto the northbound lane of the bridge, which will function as a two-way road. The on-ramp coming from Penny Road will also be closed, and on-ramp traffic will be detoured north to the Highway 2/97 and Easy Street intersection.
Crews will be removing the asphalt surface, repairing the concrete deck and repaving the deck with asphalt. Work will begin at 9 p.m. tonight (Fri) and should wrap up by 6 a.m. on Monday.
