Wenatchee Valley Rams Set for Title Shot

WENATCHEE, WA – The Wenatchee Valley Rams will go in their 9th championship in 10-years tomorrow against the Tri-City Rage…
Wenatchee is undefeated on the season coming into the Western Washington Football Alliance Championship. The closest game they had all season was against the Rage back in July in a game the Rams won on a last-second touchdown 42-36. Kickoff for the game will be at 5 o’clock at Renton Memorial Stadium.

43rd Annual O’Terry’s Tournament this Weekend

Here’s what else is going on this weekend a little closer to home…
The 43rd annual O’Terry’s Lads and Lasses coed softball tournament will be at Walla Walla Point Park Saturday and Sunday.

If you’d like to help build and maintain mountain bike trails up Number 2 canyon Saturday, you’re invited to the Blood, Sweat and Beers event. Arlberg Sports, Wenatchee Valley Velo, Ridge Cyclesport and Wenatchee Valley Brewing have teamed up with the Central Washington Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance to do trail work tomorrow from 1-to-5pm. Then there will be a bike ride down the mountain to Wenatchee Valley Brewing for an after party at 7.

And, weather/smoke permitting, it’s the annual Doggie Paddle Swim at the Wenatchee City Pool Saturday beginning at 5 o’clock…

Cost is 5-dollars if you’re a Wenatchee resident or five fifty for non-residents, per dog…

Dog handlers must be at least 16-years old…
Paddle Three
And you must have proof of current rabies vaccination…

Again, that’s the annual Doggie Paddle Swim at the Wenatchee City Pool…

Corvallis Captures 3rd Consecutive WCL Title

Congratulations to the Corvallis Knights…
They are the first team in West Coast League history to win back-to-back-to-back championships after downing the Kelowna Falcons 5-to-1 last night. Corvallis took the best of three series 2-games to none.

Mariners Welcome the Dodgers Tonight in Seattle

The Mariners begin a three-game, weekend series with the Dodgers at Safeco Field tonight…
Seattle comes into the contest in a three-team battle for the American League Wild Card spots between themselves, Oakland and the Yankees. The Mariners are currently third in the A-L West, 4-and-a-half games behind first-place Houston.

Seattle sends 7-and-2 Wade LeBlanc to the mound to face LA’s Walker Buehler, who is 5-and-4. First pitch is at 7:10.

Rangers Use 4-Run 8th to Overcome Angels

There was only one game involving American League West teams last night…
Texas used a 4-run 8th inning to erase a 6-4 deficit and beat the Angels 8-6 last night.

Coming up this weekend, Seattle fans will have a close eye on Oakland and Houston, who play one another in the first of three games tonight in the Bay Area.

Seahawks Travel to Cali to take on Chargers

And the Seattle Seahawks are looking for their first win of the pre-season when they travel to Los Angeles tomorrow…
We’ll see the starters play a little longer tomorrow night when the Seahawks take on the Chargers in Carson, California. Kickoff on your local FOX affiliate (Q-13 in Seattle or KAYU Fox 28 in Spokane) will be at 7pm.
