Clark took on the roll as interim head coach last season when Bliss Littler had to step away for health reasons. While Littler remains on as the team’s General Manager, Clark steps up from his assistant coaching position where he’s been since the Wild’s inception in 2008.

“Clarkie” and the Wild will welcome this year’s players into town in early October to begin a 7-week training camp. The COVID-delayed BCHL season is set to get underway December 1st. Congratulations to Chris Clark!

George Springer, Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman all hit home runs in Houston’s 12-4 drubbing of Texas. That lowers the Astro’s magic number to clinch a playoff spot to 1. It also officially eliminated the Mariners from the playoffs since the Astros hold the tiebreaker advantage over Seattle head-to-head.

Walker Buehler came off the injured list and pitched four shutout innings with six strikeouts as the Dodgers claimed homefield advantage in the playoffs with a 5-1 win over Oakland. It was LA’s 40th win of the season.

Then, of course, tomorrow night is the season finale at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval with the Neal Newberry 125 presented by Pepsi and the Tommy Wentz Classic. We’ll begin our coverage live on Facebook at 5:30 and on TV live at 6.

Sunday is all about the Wenatchee Wild as we’ll feature two games from last October at the Town Toyota Center. First at 2 o’clock, it’s the Wild and West Kelowna Warriors. Then at 7, Wenatchee takes on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
