A 42-year old Quincy father of five was killed late yesterday morning in a single-car rollover accident on Highway 28 about a mile west of Quincy.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Efren Murillo-Tejeda was driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup eastbound on the highway when he left the roadway to the right while attempting to avoid traffic that had stopped for a vehicle that was making a left turn onto a private driveway.
Tejeda over-corrected, causing the truck to roll over.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tejeda was not wearing a seatbelt. Traffic was blocked and diverted in both directions for nearly 3 hours.
Tejeda’s family has set up a Go-Fund-Me page to help with his funeral expenses and assist the family.
