Chelan School District’s proposed construction bond is the topic of a public informational meeting tonight at the high school. The meeting is one in a series of informational sessions to be held this month in advance of the April 23rd special election.
The proposed $75 million bond would fund construction of a new high school.
The new high school would be built on land purchased by the District in the 1990’s on North Apple Blossom Drive near the Mountain Goat soccer field.
Funds would also be used to reconfigure grade levels to reduce overcrowding. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m.
Ballots will be mailed out on April 5th. The School District has produced an 8-page bond brochure, which includes a break down of the project costs and tax impacts. It is available at the District’s website.
