(Wenatchee, WA)…NCWLIFE Channel Sports Director Eric Granstrom has a review of the weekend in high school playoffs and state.

Wenatchee hosted Moses Lake in Big 9 District Soccer. Both teams were close in the first half, but it was Jaden Griggs goal late in the second half that meant the difference, as Wenatchee emerged victorious 1-0. The Panthers travel to Kentridge for the first round of the State 4A playoffs Tuesday.

After Eastmont fell to West Valley for the Big-9 District Championship Saturday and Wenatchee beat Eisenhower in the consolation bracket, it meant a winner-to-state match between the Wildcats and Panthers. The two teams had met twice already this season with a split. Wenatchee won the opening set 25-19. Eastmont won the second 25-22. The Panthers took the 3rd 25-21. Then the Wildcats won the 4th 25-23. Eastmont moved on to state, winning the 5th set in a thriller 18-16.
