WENATCHEE, WA.- A Chelan County Port Commissioner wants to help save the historic Horan House from being torn down. The owners of the old Victorian-style home have applied with the City of Wenatchee to demolish the home and its neighboring Carriage house. As a private developer, Commissioner Rory Turner, has been involved in a number of restoration projects around the State. He says the Horan House is worth saving . . .

Turner says he’s working with the State Trust for Historic Preservation on a plan to preserve the house. The City is awaiting the completion of a State required environmental review before acting on the property owner’s application for demolition.
