The previous four meetings between Wenatchee and Eastmont in the annual football game between the two schools have been determined by a total of 10-points. So, OF COURSE Friday’s rematch would be another close one as the Wildcats edged the Panthers 10-7 on a 36-yard field goal by Cameron Pope.

Wenatchee scored on the first possession of the ballgame, capping an 11-play, 74-yard drive with a 17-yard touchdown pass from J.J. Jelsing to Camden Loidhamer.

The teams went into the locker room with the Panthers up 7-nothing, but Eastmont came out on its opening drive of the second half, scoring on a 2-yard touchdown run by Corbin Keys. The game remained knotted at 7 until 6:48 left in the 4th quarter when Pope hit what proved to be the game-winning field goal.
