US 2 Pine Canyon Reopens to Flagger-Controlled Traffic

US 2 through Pine Canyon between Orondo and Waterville is reopened with flagger controlled single lane alternating traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Contract crews have completed work to remove debris from a fractured section of slope that forced the closure of the highway last Thursday. The scheduled rock slope stabilization project has resumed. Remaining work includes rock bolting, steel cable netting installation and paving.
