Parks for People program to revitalize Kiwanis Methow Park with grant funds


The Trust for Public Land in partnership with the City of Wenatchee received a grant from The National Endowment for the Arts’ Our Town Grant Program to help establish a health festival and public arts projects to benefit the community.

The Parks for People program hopes to revitalize Kiwanis Methow Park, a community gathering space in Wenatchee, as well as build a new park in East Wenatchee to specifically improve fitness and health.

Officials with the City and Land Trust say revitalizing the Park will create a place for improving overall community health by serving as a community hub designed by local residents, for local residents.
