“It is a very nerve-wracking time,” said Christoferson. This is the week where all of their work and preparation come together with the Cashmere Valley Bank Royalty Selection Pageant. Chrisoferson says she remembers how stressful it can be. “I remember back in my day how it’s a lot. I’m nervous for them (Top 10) for remembering their speeches. I’m also very excited for them.”

Pageant wouldn’t happen without the Wenatchee Central Lions Club

The Wenatchee Central Lions Club produces the pageant and works for months to plan and prepare for Saturday’s event. Christoferson says it wouldn’t happen without the Lions Club. “They begin meeting in the summer and then work, beginning in January putting the stage together and building the sets. The Lions Club is really committed to this.”

NCWLIFE Channel will once again be broadcasting Saturday’s pageant LIVE. Viewers can watch beginning at 4 p.m. for “A Lot Of Fuss About A Parade,” the documentary on Apple Blossom and the Top 10 process. Interviews with the Top 10 Candidates will follow at 5:30 p.m.
