Our Valley group invites online community-planning input


WENATCHEE — Our Valley Our Future’s visioning process kicks into high gear starting this evening, with an online forum to help craft the future of the Wenatchee Valley.

The forums, held in partnership with NCW Libraries, will be conducted via Zoom and act as brainstorming sessions on potential ways for each community to ultimately thrive. The first takes place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, for residents of the greater Wenatchee area.

It’s part of the nonprofit group’s “Our Valley, Stronger” initiative, which aims to guide local recovery from the pandemic. You can join each scheduled conversation, depending on where you reside, at this Zoom link. Forums are scheduled as follows:

  • May 4, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for residents of the Greater Wenatchee Area (Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Rock Island, Malaga, Monitor)
  • May 11, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.  for residents of the Upper Wenatchee Valley (Leavenworth, Peshastin, Dryden, Cashmere)
  • May 18, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for residents of the Lake Chelan area (Chelan, Manson and Chelan Falls)
  • May 25, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for residents of the Entiat Valley (Entiat and Ardenvoir)
  • June 1, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for residents of Douglas County (Waterville, Orondo, Bridgeport, Mansfield)
