Numerous shots fired in drive-by shooting Friday morning in South Wenatchee

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect or suspects in a drive-by shooting early this morning in South Wenatchee.

Nobody was injured in the shooting about 5:40 a.m. on Terminal Avenue near Methow Street.

Somewhere between three and seven shots were fired, said Chelan County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Lewis.

In a press release, Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett said a residence occupied by eight people, including young children, was hit by multiple gunshots

Investigators haven’t determined if a vehicle reportedly seen in the area is connected to the shooting, Lewis said.

“There are currently no known suspects and believed to be an isolated incident with no immediate community risk,” Burnett said.
