Weather 10-6-21

The Inland Northwest will get its first taste of autumn weather beginning today as an upper-level trough migrates into the region and remains stationary throughout the next several days. The most noticeable change will be with our temperatures with rain showers moving in by the end of the weekend.

Northcentral Washington weather today will be mostly sunny and cooler with afternoon high temperatures around 60-63 degrees.

The trough will remain over the region Thursday and Friday with mostly sunny skies each day and cool with highs in the lower 60’s. The drier and cooler air combined with clearing skies each Thursday and Friday mornings’ will bring the potential for chilly low temperatures. Many Northcentral Washington locations will carry a risk for freezing temperatures. Those still nursing a garden should be prepared for a shift in the weather pattern and potential for freezing overnight lows.

Weather for Saturday will be mostly sunny to begin the day with increasing clouds by afternoon and cool with afternoon high temperatures in the lower 60’s.

A weather system is expected to drop into the Pacific Northwest from the Gulf of Alaska and bring a decent chance of widespread showers across the region on Sunday. Forecast for Sunday will be mostly cloudy and windy with a 50% chance of showers, cooler too with highs only in the upper 50’s.

Our weather quiets down on Monday and Tuesday but temperatures will remain unseasonably cool with mostly sunny skies and afternoon highs in the upper 50’s.
