Weather 1-20-22

The passage of a moist frontal system today will produce widespread precipitation this morning and early this afternoon followed by locally windy conditions late in the day. Much of the Inland Northwest will experience a cold rain, but pockets of freezing rain in central Washington this morning are a concern. Localized west winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph late this afternoon and evening possible for the benches around Wenatchee including usual windy spots like Mission Ridge and Entiat. Northcentral Washington weather today, scattered morning rain showers with partly cloudy skies by afternoon and warmer with high temperatures in the lower 40’s.

Weather for Friday right through next Thursday will be quiet, mild and dry. The offshore ridge of high pressure will be a fairly dominant weather feature through most of the extended forecast. During this time-frame, expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with afternoon highs on Friday in the lower 40’s and generally in the upper 30’s to around 40 degrees for Saturday through Wednesday.
