An upper ridge of high pressure will remain over the area today resulting in continued unseasonably warm weather for this time of year. Northcentral Washington weather today will feature hazy sunshine with increasing cloudiness late in the day and warm with highs this afternoon in the upper 80’s.
Changes arrive Wednesday morning as a mid-level, weak storm system tracks up from off the Oregon coast into North Central Washington. The limiting factor is moisture and instability. Any showers though will be fast moving with rain amounts expected to be light. There is a 20% chance of sprinkles tomorrow morning with breezy conditions in the afternoon as the weather system moves east, highs on Wednesday in the mid to upper 80’s. The incoming wave will could also draw up increased smoke from fires over Oregon and California tonight into Wednesday morning.
A weak trough will move through British Columbia on Thursday bringing breezy conditions to Northcentral Washington and especially Eastern Washington. Forecast for Thursday will be a little hazy, and mild with afternoon high temperatures in the mid-80’s.
Friday through the weekend will be quiet as a zonal flow follows the trough`s exit. Expect mostly sunny to sunny skies each day and slightly cooler with afternoon highs in the lower to mid-80’s.
