High pressure off the coast will strengthen over the Inland Northwest today. Temperatures will warm up resulting in more stability, drier conditions, and lighter winds. Northcentral Washington weather today will be sunny and mild with afternoon high temperatures in the mid to upper 50’s.

A compact low-pressure system will swing through on Wednesday riding down the backside of the ridge bringing cloudy skies tomorrow with a 40% chance of rain with highs in the mid 50’s.

Behind Wednesday`s weather system, the high pressure ridge amplifies over the Eastern Pacific and the Polar jet stream backs away from northwest to north over the Pac Northwest.
