An area of low pressure will track across the Inland Northwest today bringing rain showers, scattered thunderstorms, and breezy weather to much of our region. Northcentral Washington weather today will be mostly cloudy, a 20% chance for showers and breezy with afternoon highs in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s.
Shortwave ridging on Wednesday will provide a brief break from the unsettled weather with sunshine before the arrival of another round of active weather on Thursday. Tomorrow expect mostly sunny skies to begin our day with increasing clouds by evening, high temperatures in the upper 70’s.
Confidence is growing that a vigorous cold front will arrive in the Wenatchee Valley and Columbia Basin Thursday afternoon bringing a good chance of showers, the potential for a few thunderstorms, and several hours of gusty winds along and behind the front. We can expect mostly cloudy skies Thursday with a 30% chance of rain and windy with afternoon high temperatures in the upper 60’s.
A cool, sunny and breezy day is expected Friday behind the cold front with high temperatures staying below normal in the upper 60’s.
By the Memorial Day weekend, the weather looks pleasant for outdoor activities Saturday, Sunday and Monday with light winds, lots of sunshine and unseasonably warm weather. Our weather forecast calling for sunny skies each day with high temperatures Saturday in the upper 70’s, mid 80’s on Sunday and unseasonably hot on Memorial Day Monday with highs in the lower 90’s.
