A band of cloudiness associated with a weak area of low pressure will bring us partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies today from the wave moving through. Because of that, afternoon high temperatures across Northcentral Washington today will be a couple of degrees cooler with highs in the lower to mid-90’s. Enjoy it…because it warms up from Wednesday onward into record setting territory. We will also see some breezy winds this morning down the Okanogan valley, which will decrease in the afternoon.
On Wednesday, we will see temperatures warm up with decreasing cloudiness and afternoon high temperatures tomorrow in the upper 90’s.
By Thursday, the heat wave will be in full effect with sunny weather and afternoon high temperatures in the low 100’s.
Triple digit heat is expected on Friday and Saturday as well with sunny skies and highs Friday around 104 with possibly 105 degrees expected on Saturday.
For Sunday, our weather pattern begins a slow cool-down with mostly sunny skies and afternoon high temperatures in the upper 90’s.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies on Monday with afternoon highs still above normal but cooler, into the mid-90’s.
The continuation of smoke/haze from wildfires will also remain entrenched across much of the Inland Northwest especially in the Methow and Okanogan Valley’s for the foreseeable future.
