The increased cloud cover over the region today will result in slightly cooler temperatures, but, with highs still in the 90s to low 100s and the very mild start to the day, the Excessive Heat Warning remains in place through Sunday, July 4th.
Northcentral Washington weather forecast today calling for mostly sunny skies, breezy and hot with afternoon highs this afternoon around 100 degrees.
A weak trough will stay in place tomorrow as well with sunny skies, breezy conditions and highs on Friday in the mid to upper 90’s.
Heading into our Independence Day weekend on Saturday and Sunday, the ridge of high pressure gains a bit of strength brining the Columbia Basin and Wenatchee Valley unseasonably hot weather once again with sunny skies each day and afternoon high temperatures around 100 degrees.
We will begin to see a gradual “cool down” Monday through Wednesday next week with high temperatures on Monday in the upper 90’s, cooling slightly to the mid-90’s for both Tuesday and Wednesday.
