Squirrels are being blamed for three morning power outages in Douglas and Chelan counties over the past two days.
About 6:50 this morning a squirrel caused an outage for 1,064 customers in East Wenatchee along Sunset Highway.
Several residents reported hearing a loud boom prior to power going out. The Douglas County PUD said all power was restored by 7:30 a.m.
At 9:15 Tuesday morning a squirrel caused an outage for about 7:30 customers stretching from Mansfield to Bridgeport Bar.
Douglas PUD crews had power fully restored by 10:20 a.m.
Also Monday morning at about 10:50 a squirrel caused an outage in the Plain area that affected 460 customers.
Chelan County PUD had fully restored power for those customers by just before noon.
