Pacific North West Tobacco

WENATCHEE — A Wenatchee smoke shop may no longer sell any tobacco or vape product after violating a probationary agreement with state regulators.

Pacific North West Smoke Shop at 307 Ferry St. has operated under a stipulated agreement since July with the Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board, for making illegal sales to customers under 18 three times in the last two years. The ownership company, Kanzaman LLC, acknowledged the violations, paid $5,800 in fines and promised to commit no more such sales.

Under the stipulation, licenseholder Abdel Majeed Sarameh was allowed to pass the shop's tobacco license to Randah Sarameh, and agreed to no longer be employed at or exercise control over the business.

The state board now says since that agreement was signed in July, the business again sold vape products to an underage buyer, who made the purchase as part of a sting operation. As a result, the store's tobacco and vape license is revoked for five years, starting today.

Kanzaman LLC has multiple sales violations on its record. In 2018, the Liquor and Cannabis Board revoked the license for one of Kanzaman's locations in the Wenatchee Valley Mall, after an employee there illicitly sold cannabis products.
