WENATCHEE — A new $1 million state grant is designed to make some breakthroughs in the way community health is delivered in North Central Washington — including distribution of pre-paid smartphones for patients in need. Back in January, the state Department of Commerce awarded the grant to the Community Health Network of Washington, to create a “Digital Navigator” program. That project will help guide people in need toward online healthcare resources, including telemedicine and video chat. The NCW Tech Alliance is a partner in that effort. NCWLIFE discussed the issue with Jenny Rojanasthien of the Tech Alliance, and Jerry Perez-Guerrero of the Health Network.
