WENATCHEE- National Night Out brought the Wenatchee community out to Centennial Park on Tuesday evening. It was an opportunity to meet in a casual setting with the police officers, State Troopers and County Sheriff’s deputies that serve this area. NCWLIFE’s cameras were there:
“My experience has been great so far,” said Wenatchee resident Joceylane Cardenas. “When I got here the officers greeted my son and it was awesome. He loves policemen and firemen.”
Cardenas added that the festivities at the park was a good way to bring the agencies and residents together.
“Coming down here and seeing all of the community come down and show support for our law enforcement has been great,” Cardenas said.
One of the more popular features from yesterday was a demonstration by the Chelan County Sheriff’s K-9s. The National Night Out Against Crime event is observed in 16,000 communities across the Nation.
