The unseasonably warm weather has led Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort to cancel skiing for this weekend.
The resort opened last Friday on its annual after-Thanksgiving target date.
Mission Ridge said with temperatures forecast to drop beginning tonight they’re hoping to open the slopes back up Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As soon as feasible, they’ll have their crews back making snow and grooming trails, the resort said.
Stevens Pass announced earlier this week that because of the warm weather they would not make their scheduled Friday opening.
They also said falling temperatures are likely to lead to snowmaking in the coming days.
