Magnitude 3.5 quake shakes Coulee City area Monday morning


A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was recorded this morning about 15 miles north northeast of Coulee City.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network confirmed the quake hit at 8:48 a.m. at a depth of just under a mile.

Several residents of the area reported briefly feeling the quake.

But the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said there apparently was no damage and no 911 calls were received.
