Terry McFadden was honored this week as the longest-serving Chelan County PUD employee in its history.
McFadden, the PUD’s materials foreman, has been with the utility more than 43 years. On October 23rd he beat the employee longevity mark formerly held by a former Puget Sound Power and Light worker who became a Chelan PUD employee when the district took over Puget’s system in 1948.
McFadden started in 1973 and said he wanted a job where he wouldn’t be sitting all day.
At age 68 that hasn’t changed.
He said he expects to work a few more years before considering retirement. At the PUD’s meeting this week he reflected on his career with the district.
