Locals prepare their costumes for Wen-Con 2019

Locals Cherrie Bartholomew and Starla Newberry tell NCWLIFE how they prepare for Wen-Con as they unveil their costumes for this weekend’s event on Saturday, April 13th.

Wen-Con is Wenatchee’s only pop culture convention and is hosted under the roof of the Town Toyota Center.

The third annual event brings special celebrity guests, a variety of vendors and artists, games, panel discussions and more.

The one-day event is held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features celebrity guests like actors David Hayter, Ciara Hanna and Rosslyn Luke.

Writer and producer Robert Meyer will also make an appearance, along with video game artist Eli Wolff and many more guests from a variety of backgrounds.

Are you a Star Wars fan? Gregory Smith is exhibiting his full-scale replica X-34 Luke Skywalker Landspeeder, and will also have an Imperial Probe Droid on site.

The Bumblebee, which was featured alongside Optimus Prime and other movie trucks at the WA State Toy & Geek fest in Puyallup will also make its way to Wenatchee Saturday.

A long list of illustrators and animators will be at this year’s Wen-Con, for a full list of who’s coming visit the event’s website here.
