It looks less likely we’ll be getting the high winds predicted for the region tonight and tomorrow morning, the National Weather Service reported.
In fact, the Weather Service is now calling the chance of heavy winds “minimal.”
However, the Waterville Plateau and exposed ridges on the Cascades still could see wind gusts up to 50 mph.
There still is a strong weather system moving in, bringing moderate to heavy snow to many areas, but it will miss most of Central Washington, the Weather Service reported.
There also could be 3 to 8 inches of snow in the mountains, which could make traveling on passes challenging.
