Life with Lisa Bradshaw – Gathering Families Around the Table After the Carr Fire: Part Two of Two

393

Carr Fire survivors were invited to nominate themselves or a loved one to receive the gift of a dining room table from Life of Wood, which imports wood from Costa Rica and manufactures it in Redding. On today’s show, via Zoom, we surprised people from Redding who wrote in and were selected to receive a table.

Jerry Agee, owner of Life of Wood, who grew up in Redding, CA, partnered with The DON’T WAIT Project® and founder Lisa Bradshaw in an effort to gather Shasta County residents around the table again after the Carr Fire of 2018 destroyed numerous homes. Agee and Bradshaw visited Redding two times over the past two years, interviewing people impacted by the fires, including local residents, business owners and first responders.
