Les Schwab Toy Drive Concludes with Distribution

Les Schwab teamed with area businesses to help disadvantaged youth in our community

Hundreds of Children Helped Through Toy Drive

WENATCHEE, WA – The Les Schwab Community Toy Drive concluded Monday with the final distribution of toys to the Bruce House and Women’s Resource Center.  The milestone marked the end of over a month’s worth of collecting new, unwrapped toys throughout the Wenatchee area.

The idea for a grand-scale toy drive actually goes back about three years with a conversation between Brent Rhodes of Country 104.7 KKRV radio and Les Schwab Area Manager Kirk Moser.

Hundreds of children were given toys from the ten’s of thousands of dollars and thousands of toys donated through the drive.  Recipient organizations included Serve Wenatchee Valley, the Chelan-Douglas CASA Program, and the Bruce House.

Moser wanted to be sure to thank those key committee members who really made the Toy Drive happen.  Katie High of WORX of Wenatchee Valley.  Brent Rhodes of Country 104.7 KKRV.  Sue Baker of Chelan-Douglas CASA Program.  Thom Nees of Serve Wenatchee Valley.  Lisa Abel and the Bruce House.  Nikki Moser, Mike McCarty and the entire staff and crew at Les Schwab Tire Stores in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee.  Casey, Corey, Chad & Don Sangster and Sangster Motors.  The Wenatchee World.  The Wenatchee Wild.  Wenatchee Valley Velo.
