Leavenworth Firefighters Put Out Chalet Lane Fire

LEAVENWORTH, WA.- The fire was active on arrival but three of the newly-hired members of Chelan 3 played a large roll in its quick knock-down. Seventeen firefighters from Chelan 3 responded in total. The fire was held to about an acre. The US Forest Service also provided early assistance.

LEAVENWORTH, WA.-  Chelan County Fire District 3 reports personnel have responded to a 1/2 acre fire off of Chalet Lane in Leavenworth. No structures are threatened at this time.

The fire was reported just before 5:00 PM today (June 22). Approximately 20 firefighters are on scene and additional resources from the Department of Natural Resources and US Forest Service are en route.
