Leavenworth Autumn Leaf Festival begins Saturday, and includes a noon parade

Though the weather may feel a bit wintry, Leavenworth’s 55th Autumn Leaf Festival begins Saturday, highlighted by the Grand Parade, which starts at noon.

There is a full schedule of activities and entertainment running through Sunday afternoon.

For Leavenworth, a town known for its festivals, this is its original festival.

It is a celebration of the turning colors of the fall leaves.

There are 80 entries in the Grand parade, with bands and floats coming from throughout the Northwest.

The 2019 Royal Lady is Charlotte Ley and the parade grand marshal is Jim Willems.

There is entertainment in the park Gazebo throughout the day, capped with a polka street dance from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Sunday includes more entertainment and a classic car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
