WENATCHEE – The Chelan Douglas Land Trust is hosting a free event for the public at Pybus Market on Friday February 23 from 5:30pm – 7pm.
“It’s a fun social event,” said Hillary Clark, membership and education coordinator for the Chelan Douglas Land Trust. “It’s free, it’s open to anyone, and…it’s an excuse to come to Pybus to learn a little bit about the Land Trust.”
There will be free finger foods and non-alcoholic drinks, along with beer from Wenatchee Valley Brewing and wine available for purchase.
“There’s plenty of time to socialize [and] meet other people that really enjoy getting outside and learning about the natural world,” said Clark.
There will be five minute-long presentations from three different people about sharing the land with the wildlife, including learning about different kinds of snakes, how to protect sage-grouse, and how trails are designed.
“Our executive director Curt is going to bring it all together and start talking about Land Trust projects that we have done last year and this coming year and it should be really exciting…even if you’re not a member, if you’re a long-time, you should be able to learn something no matter how much familiarity you have with us,” said Clark.
