Voters in the Lake Chelan School District sent a resounding NO to a seventy-five and a half million dollar bond proposal that would have paid for a new high school and extensive renovations to the existing high school, the elementary school and the construction of new sports facilities.

Slightly over 57% of ballots counted rejected the proposal. A 60% yes vote was required for the measure to pass. Opponents of the proposal cited the flat enrollment numbers for the district didn’t require the adding of additional facilities.
