Kirkland Man Fatally Injured at Mission Ridge Ski Resort

WENATCHEE- A 25-year-old Kirkland man was fatally injured in a skiing accident at Mission Ridge Ski Resort Wednesday afternoon, according to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was identified as Brian A. Scott, according the Sheriff Brian Burnett.

Witnesses said Scott lost control while skiing on the “Lip Lip” run at about 12:05 p.m. and collided with a tree, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Mission Ridge Ski Patrollers responded to the scene of the accident and began treating the victim, who was unconscious, according to the release.

Scott was transported to the medical room at the base of the resort where Lifeline Ambulance continued treatment. According to officials, lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and he died from his injuries.
