Brothers Buy for Kids at Hooked On Toys

WENATCHEE, WA – Two Wenatchee brothers experienced the thrill of a lifetime today with a $1,000 toy shopping spree.  Luke (11) and Tyler (9) were given the money to shop at Hooked On Toys to benefit other children during the Les Schwab Community Toy Drive.  It didn’t take long for the boys to fill one shopping cart after another with toys that will be delivered to other children through various local charities.

NCWLIFE Channel’s Eric Granstrom was there and filed this report…

Hooked On Toys donated an additional $200, so Luke and Tyler were able to purchase $1,200 worth of toys for the Les Schwab Community Toy Drive.  After it was all said and done, Les Schwab donated $75 per boy to pick any toy at Hooked On Toys they wanted.  Luke picked a mini drone while Tyler chose a Star Wars Lego set.  Both boys said they felt extremely fortunate to be able to help others this holiday season.

You can find out more about the Les Schwab Community Toy Drive on their Facebook page.  Here you can find locations throughout Wenatchee and East Wenatchee.  Up next for the Toy Drive is a Diaper Drive Saturday at WalMart from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
