Judge Alicia Nakata to Retire From Chelan Superior Court Bench


WENATCHEE- Chelan County Superior Court Judge Alicia Nakata has announced her decision to retire at the end of the year. The 62-year-old judge has served since 2013 succeeding Judge John Bridges.

Prior to that She also served as Chelan County District Court Judge for 17 years. Governor Jay Inslee will be tasked with appointing a new judge to serve out the remainder of Nakata’s term.

She was re-elected last year to another four year term. Judge Nakata is married to US District Court Judge, Stanley Bastian.

Steve is a sports addict. Time off usually finds him sprawled out on the couch watching the Seahawks, Mariners or anything that prevents him from doing house chores.
