Influenza claims 132 Washington residents this winter


WENATCHEE – Complications associated with this year’s influenza have so far claimed the lives of 132 Washington residents according to numbers released this week by the State Department of Health.

Five of those deaths were in North Central Washington. Two have died in Chelan County, one death in Grant County and two in Kittitas County.

Officials report the number of flu cases statewide appear to be on the decrease as the season starts to wind down.
