WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee School District announced Friday that Wenatchee High School and WestSide High School will host in-person commencement ceremonies next month for the Class of 2021.

The Wenatchee High School graduation is set for 7 p.m. June 4 at the Wenatchee Apple Bowl. WestSide High School graduates will receive their diplomas at 6 p.m. June 8 at WestSide.

Attendance to both events will be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, NCWLIFE will broadcast both events live, on LocalTel Channel 12, Charter Channel 19, and online at ncwlife.com and the NCWLIFE Facebook page.

Tickets will be required for attendance at both events, and seating will be assigned. Graduates will be guaranteed two guest tickets for spectators of their choice. The district says it’s exploring whether it can create sections specifically for vaccinated onlookers, allowing more flexibility for attendance. More details on seating for spectators will be made available next week.

The district says all graduates and spectators will be required to pass online health screenings prior to the event, and wear masks and observe social distancing while attending.

Graduation for the Class of 2020 was held virtually last year.
