Homeless man accused of stealing Culp sign to use as a tarp

A political sign torn from a fence led to an arrest in South Wenatchee on Sunday afternoon.

A homeless man allegedly ripped down a sign for Republican governor candidate Loren Culp, and used it as a tarp to go under the tent he pitched in nearby Locomotive Park.

Wenatchee police found the man with the sign, and allegedly found a small amount of meth in his possession.

He may face charges including the rare misdemeanor of removing or defacing a political sign.
