WENATCHEE- A planned multi-family affordable housing project being developed in Wenatchee by Catholic Family Charities has received a boost in funding.
Chelan County Commissioners decided recently to allocate $724,000 to the Wenatchee Supportive Housing Community project being developed on Wenatchee’s Southside.
Catholic Charities will set aside 50 percent of the apartments for homeless families with children. County Commissioner, Keith Goehner says the County’s share of the funding will be payed out over the next four years.
The County’s share of the funding comes from a percentage of the revenue collected from recording fees as approved by the Legislature earlier this year.
